Perfect holiday for families to discover natural habitats and agricultural traditions of Vallo di Diano.
The tourists that every year visit Vallo di Diano not only feel the emotion to dive in the past, getting in touch with the history, the traditions, the culture, the craftsmanship and the typical products of the place, but also that of visiting precious natural habitats of outstanding interest such as the National Park of Cilento and the valley of the spontaneous orchids of Sassano.
Vallo is rich of ancient paths and villages, among these we remember the famous Old town center of Teggiano, known also as the museum town. Among the other important tourist resources to visit there are the Certosa di San Lorenzo, one of the biggest of Europe with an immense park and a structure full of many places to discover, the speleological complex known as the Angel’s Cave of Pertosa and the Museum-House of Joe Petrosino.
Vallo di Diano, born from an ancient lake, has obtained two important rewards. The first in 1997, when it was included in the prestigious net of the Reserves of the biosphere of the Mab-Unesco, which all over the world counts around 350 protected areas, useful to preserve the biodiversity. The second arrived in 1998 with its integration in the list of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
