This time too, an ambitious mission waits for the Insolita Italia team that is ready to discover again Naples along with the photographer Giuseppe di Vaio. However, this time not from the tourist or street point of view, but from the more hidden and legendary one.

An even more unusual travel than the previous ones, but always fascinating and evocative, which will bring Insolita Italia to discover and rediscover all those stories and legends that surround the city of Naples and its palaces, but also those in the flesh: that is, the people that have allowed the Neapolitan city to be known all around the world.

During the four days of the blogtour that will lead the Insolita Italia team to explore legendary Naples, numerous places symbol of this city will be visited.

We will start with the famous Maschio Angioino, historical medieval and renaissance castle as well as one of the symbols of the city, to tell the legend of the crocodiles.

We will visit the famous Fontanelle Cemetery and the Catacombs of San Gennaro. Then, inevitable the visit to one of the most obscure, mysterious and controversial places of Naples, that is, the Crypt of Dracula, as well as a visit to the Decumanus (the three ancient streets of Naples built at the end of the VI century) and San Gregorio Armeno, historical zone characterized by the artisan shops of the art of the nativity scene that will be magically illuminated for Christmas.

Then, the Insolita Italia team will visit Castel Sant’Elmo, the historical Pedamentina and Castel dell’Ovo where the legend of the Ovo (egg) will be told.

Instead, in Donn’Anna Palace, it will be unveiled the legend of this confuse woman with the discussed Queen Joanna of Anjou.

Finally, a visit to Piazza Bellini, the Museum of Capodimonte to discover the art of Caravaggio and of the great Neapolitan masters and to the Seven Works of Mercy in Via dei Tribunali by Caravaggio too.

Diana De Lorenzi
